It’s been a while since we shared a public update on the changes happening at ConstructAI. Over the past few months, we’ve been hard at work evolving the model that powers ConstructAI—incorporating your feedback and building on the latest advancements in Large Language Models.
We have several exciting feature updates in the pipeline, and you can expect a series of announcements in the coming weeks. Keep an eye out – especially for a powerful new integration designed specifically for our Enterprise customers!

Today, we’re excited to introduce Creative Mode. ConstructAI was built to deliver accurate, coherent, and predictable responses. However, many of you have asked for the ability to inject more creativity and flexibility into your interactions.

With Creative Mode, you now have that option. A new toggle just beneath the chat area lets you enable Creative Mode for your next question. This feature is available now for users on our Professional and Enterprise plans, and will be rolling out to Free users in the coming weeks.

Some examples of where using Creative Mode can be useful:

Prompt: “Rewrite this bid introduction to sound more dynamic and client-focused: ‘We are pleased to submit our proposal for the redevelopment of the Richmond Retail Park, demonstrating our capacity and experience in delivering similar schemes.'”.

Normal Response: “We are delighted to present our proposal for the redevelopment of Richmond Retail Park. Our proven experience with similar projects ensures we can deliver a high-quality outcome tailored to your requirements.”

Creative Mode Response: “Thank you for the opportunity to partner with you on transforming Richmond Retail Park. We’re excited to bring fresh ideas and a collaborative approach, drawing on our track record to deliver a vibrant destination that exceeds your expectations.”

Summary: Normal response provided a clear, professional response focused on reliability. The Creative Mode offers a more engaging response emphasising partnership, innovation, and client outcomes.

Prompt: “Suggest creative ways to explain PAS 2080 to site supervisors.”.

Normal Response:

• Short presentation with diagrams on carbon reduction.
• Summary handout of key requirements.
• Toolbox talk on practical steps.
• Share real-world UK case studies.
  Creative Mode Response :
• Quiz where teams compete for carbon-efficient decisions.
• Storytelling: day-in-the-life scenario.
• Short videos of staff explaining PAS 2080 in practice.
• “Carbon challenge” leader board with rewards.

Summary: Normal response provided straightforward, practical training methods. The Creative Mode response offers interactive, memorable learning experiences that should make PAS 2080 relatable and engaging.

Please note: While Creative Mode increases the likelihood of more varied and imaginative responses, a noticeable difference is not always guaranteed.

The outcome depends on a few key factors:

• The nature of your question: For factual or compliance-based queries (e.g., “What is the minimum wage for construction workers in the UK?”), responses are likely to remain consistent regardless of creativity settings, as these rely on clear, objective information.
• How your prompt is framed: Open-ended, exploratory, or brainstorming-style prompts are more likely to produce diverse and creative outputs when Creative Mode is enabled.
